More Information (Gaydio is not responsible for external websites)
Caitriona Dowden is a Chortle award-winning standup comedian and lapsed Catholic who spends most of her time thinking about medieval saints ("unique and imaginative" - Chortle). Tasmin Sarkany (Musical Comedy Awards finalist 2023, "highly skilled… ingenious" – Chortle) is a musical character comedian who performs as classical musician Amelia Crotchet, double act partner to Violin - a sentient violin who can talk to the dead. When Caitriona enlisted Violin’s services to contact a 12th-century nun for help with her next standup show, things didn’t quite go to plan. Not only was Violin's rider alarmingly expensive (who needs 1100 custard creams?), but Amelia insisted on taking to the stage herself. Forced to team up, the unlikely pair bring you a split bill like no other: a delightfully quirky mix of musical ventriloquism and musings about life, God, and organised fun.
