Gaydio is the UK’s LGBTQ+ radio station, broadcasting across 13 cities and reaching more than half a million listeners every week across radio, streaming, social and events.
Alongside our broadcast service we run the Gaydio Academy, helping LGBTQ+ people develop confidence, skills and opportunities in media and broadcasting.
We proudly operate on a non-profit basis, for the community that we serve.
As Gaydio continues to expand its journalism and storytelling, we are creating a new role — Community Journalism Editor and Trainer. This role will help grow our journalism output while supporting LGBTQ+ people to develop media and storytelling skills through Gaydio Academy.
This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about journalism, community storytelling and developing new voices in media.
Gaydio produces journalism and storytelling that reflects LGBTQ+ lives and culture across the UK, including:

Over time, the role will help build a network of contributors whose work strengthens Gaydio’s journalism across radio, digital and social media.
At Gaydio our values guide how we work together and represent the communities we serve.
