Birmingham Pride 2026 takes over the city's Gay Village around Hurst Street across the spring bank holiday weekend of 23 to 24 May, kicking off with the free Big Community Event at Smithfield Live on Friday 23 May from 6.30pm. The parade itself steps off at midday on Saturday 23 May from Victoria Square, weaving through Bennetts Hill, New Street, High Street, Smallbrook Queensway and into Hurst Street, finishing in the heart of the Village. Expect 75,000-plus spectators along the route, with festival activity continuing across both days.

The weekend programme spans the Main Stage, Dance Arena, Cabaret Tent and Community Stage, with international and national acts plus local Birmingham LGBTQIA+ talent. The 2026 line-up is yet to be confirmed, the official site says it's coming soon. The Cabaret Tent is a long-standing Birmingham Pride favourite, with drag royalty, burlesque and comedy across the weekend. The Friday Big Community Event includes the candlelit vigil and an LGBTQ+ Community Support Hub in partnership with Birmingham LGBT.

The parade is free to watch. Smithfield Live and the Birmingham Pride Street Party are ticketed separately, with low-income tickets available via the official site for those who need them. The festival is centred on the Gay Village at B5 6RY, a short walk from the Hippodrome, the Bullring and New Street station. Check the Birmingham Pride website for the latest line-up, accessibility info and ticket details.
