Manchester Village Pride takes over the Gay Village across the August bank holiday, Friday 28 to Monday 31 August 2026, with the parade marching on Saturday 29 August under the theme No Place Like Home, a nod to The Wizard of Oz and to Manchester's place as the birthplace of Pride in the city more than forty years ago. The new community-led organisers, Manchester Village Pride CIC, have rebuilt the event after the previous Manchester Pride went into liquidation in late 2025, and have brought it back to its roots on Canal Street, Sackville Gardens and the streets around the Village.
The four days mix free and ticketed programming. Expect main stage shows on the Alan Turing Stage and Village Stage, the Dance Arena celebrating Manchester's queer club culture with Gaydio listed among the line-up partners, plus the Lifestyle and Community Expo and the George House Trust Candlelit Vigil at Sackville Gardens on the Monday, which doubles as Family Day. Acts already announced include Nadine Coyle, Danny Beard, Booty Luv and Big Brovaz, Alison Jiear, Russell Small with Katherine Ellis and Michelle Lawson, with more to follow.
The parade is free for spectators along the route and free for LGBTQ+ charities and grassroots groups taking part. Weekend and day wristbands for the Gay Village Party are on sale via Skiddle, with Monday community and vigil activity listed as free entry. Check the Manchester Village Pride website for the confirmed parade route, full line-up and accessibility.
