Day 4 of the REAL Queens Visit to Ireland

Day 4 of our trip started off well, after a good nights sleep, I woke up all refreshed!

We headed down to the restaurant for breakfast, where Toby tried to emulate the 16 course meal Queen Victoria had when she stayed here...although he only manged about 3!

One of the things I love in the Irish Breakfasts is the White Pudding. I know how Black Pudding is made, but does anyone know whats in the white variety??

The fun part of the day, had to be our trip to the Guinness Factory on the banks of the River Liffey. It is pretty much the biggest tourist attraction in the city.

We had a tour around the factory and found out how the drink is made, and even saw the Guinness Waterfall! The tourist centre is shaped like a big glass, which you move up, ending up at the top of the glass which is a bar called "Gravity"

This is probably the best place to see Dublin from, as you get a 360 degree panoramic view of the city and Dublin Bay!

I even got to pull a pint, and did it perfectly (see the pictures!)

So in the past few weeks, The Queen, David Cameron and myself have been stood at that bar!

Back then to the hotel to do the show from my little mini studio, randomly getting a Facebook message from someone who spotted us in the Guinness Brewery!

Tonight we went to the launch of Dublin Pride, which is on here in a couple of weeks.

The thing I have noticed so much here, is how far the country has come on in accepting the gay community, something which would not have happened years ago. I never thought I would drive along the Quays by the Liffey and see loads on rainbow flags put there by the council. It really is a city which is moving on.

Its been years since I lived here, but I have fallen in love with this city again, a truly great place!

Time for bed now, as I aim to get up at a decent time to use the Leisure Club at the hotel.....before a massive breakfast!

More tomorrow!
