More Information (Gaydio — The UK's LGBTQ+ Radio Station is not responsible for external websites)
Brighton Bear Weekend 2026 returns from Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 July, the 16th annual celebration of bear culture and one of the UK's longest-running bear-focused LGBTQ+ events. The four-day programme combines the famous Garden Party, club nights, fundraising events, social meet-ups, daytime activity along the seafront and across the bear-friendly venues of Kemptown, with the event drawing visitors from across the UK and Europe.
The weekend programme typically includes the iconic Garden Party as the centrepiece, with club nights at Charles Street Tap (Brighton's biggest dedicated bear venue with its outdoor terrace and upstairs nightclub), social meet-ups across the Kemptown gay area and fundraising events through the weekend supporting the Brighton Rainbow Fund and bear-focused charities. The Bear Weekend has built a strong reputation for warmth, inclusivity within the broader bear/cub/chub/admirer scene, and a distinct Brighton seaside character.
Brighton Bear Weekend combines free social events with ticketed parties and the Garden Party, with full programme, tickets and venue details on the official Brighton Bear Weekend site. The event is run by volunteers and raises money for LGBTQ+ charities. Check the Brighton Bear Weekend website for the confirmed schedule, ticket details, charity partners and accessibility info.
