Project Pride

Here at Gaydio we love pride - so much so we want to celebrate as many as we could this summer. But we didn't just want report on them – we wanted to help YOU get involved with YOUR local pride.

We picked ten different prides across the UK (From Sheffield Pride at the start of July to Grimbsy Pride at the end of August)  and recruited a team of dedicated volunteers from the LGBT community in each location.

The Gaydio team offered training in basic media skills but then it was essentially up to volunteers to write articles, carry out interviews and create a community website aimed at promoting their local Prides.

All the websites are now live! Check out the incredible work that volunteers have been doing.
