Chester Pride takes place on Saturday 15 August 2026 at Castle Square in the heart of historic Chester, running from midday to 8pm. The festival site sits beneath the city walls, a few minutes from the Roman amphitheatre and Chester Cathedral, and includes the Main Stage, the Icons of Pride Stage, the Health, Life and Wellbeing Zone, a Youth and Families Tent, the Silver Rainbows Tent, the Trans and Non-Binary Tent, a new chill-out zone with coffee shop, food and beverage area and a market stall village.
Chester Pride is run by a volunteer-led charity and combines free outdoor festival access with optional Rainbow Circle VIP and Standard Plus packages that include drinks. A hardship ticket fund opens in January each year for anyone receiving Universal Credit who can't afford a paid ticket, keeping the event genuinely accessible. The 2026 line-up has not yet been confirmed. Chester's compact city centre means venues across the Rows and Watergate Street are within easy walking distance of Castle Square and run their own Pride programming around the festival.
General entry to Chester Pride is free, with optional ticketed packages for those wanting drinks and VIP areas included. All bars are cash only. Check the Chester Pride website for the confirmed line-up, ticket details and accessibility info.
