Edinburgh Pride

Pride Edinburgh 2026 takes place on Saturday 20 June, Scotland's longest-running Pride and the country's national LGBTQ+ festival, organised entirely by volunteers. Marchers gather at the Scottish Parliament on Parliament Green by Horse Wynd from 12.15pm, with speeches from invited guest speakers atop a Lothian double-decker bus from 12.30, before the march moves off at 1pm heading north and turning into the Canongate up to the High Street. The traditional route then takes in the Cowgate, Candlemaker Row, Bristo Place and finishes at Teviot Row House and Potterrow Dome.

The Pride Festival kicks off as the march arrives, with an outdoor stage running from 2pm to 6pm featuring live performances, drag, guest DJs, family entertainment and the Scottish ceilidh. The Teviot and Potterrow venues host a wellbeing fair, Youth Space, Trans Space and community entertainment from local choirs across the afternoon. Edinburgh's gay scene, the Pink Triangle, sits at the top of Leith Walk just off Princes Street, with CC Blooms, Planet Bar, The Regent and Café Habana hosting Pride parties across the weekend.

The march and outdoor festival are free. Some afterparties at venues across the Pink Triangle are ticketed. Pride Edinburgh has run since 1995 and is a community-based festival rather than a commercial event, with the volunteer team funded through donations and sponsorship.
