Leeds Pride celebrates its 20th anniversary across Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July 2026, marking two decades as one of the UK's largest free Pride festivals and the first time the event has expanded to a full two-day weekend. Pre-Parties open the celebrations on Saturday 18 July, with the main day on Sunday 19 July featuring the iconic parade, Family Area, Market Stalls and Main Stage on Lower Briggate by The Calls. The parade gathers around Leeds Town Hall on the Headrow before weaving through the city centre and finishing on Lower Briggate.
First acts confirmed for the Main Stage include Strictly Come Dancing icon and RuPaul's Drag Race star La Voix, Charlie XCX tribute act Rachel Fuller, international Eurodance act Livin' Joy, The Harry Styles Show and UK dance act Sweet Female Attitude, with more to follow. The wider weekend programme also includes the Leeds Pride Drag Brunch Fest, street parties across the city and the iconic parade. Leeds Pride 2024 saw 75,000 attendees and 175 organisations in the parade, and the 20th anniversary edition is expected to be the biggest yet.
Leeds Pride is free for all, supported by headline sponsor Jet2 and donations from the public. Optional supporter wristbands help fund the festival and keep it free. The main festival site at Lower Briggate runs into the evening, with rainbow-painted Freedom Bridge over the railway viaduct as a permanent reminder of the city's LGBT+ heritage. Check the Leeds Pride website for confirmed parade route, full line-up and accessibility info.
