Sparkle Weekend takes over Sackville Gardens in Manchester's Gay Village from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 June 2026, marking the 21st annual celebration of gender diversity and the largest free trans, non-binary and gender-expansive Pride event in the world. Sparkle is organised by The National Transgender Charity (Sparkle), the UK charity dedicated to the trans and non-binary community.
Sackville Gardens, home to the Alan Turing Memorial and the Beacon of Hope, becomes the heart of the weekend with main stage live music, drag, cabaret, community stalls, a wellbeing area, family programming and a packed evening line-up. Manchester's Gay Village around Canal Street comes out in support, with bars and venues running their own Sparkle programming across the three days. The Trans March traditionally moves through the Village on Saturday afternoon as the political and community heart of the weekend.
Sparkle Weekend is free entry, with all activity at Sackville Gardens accessible without tickets. Donations, supporter wristbands and merchandise sales fund Sparkle's year-round work supporting the trans and non-binary community across the UK. Check the Sparkle website for the confirmed line-up, march route, accessibility info and ways to support.
