Plymouth Pride returns on Saturday 11 July 2026 on Plymouth Hoe, the iconic seafront green space overlooking Plymouth Sound. After 2025 was cancelled due to a £12,000 funding deficit and a shortage of volunteers, the 2026 edition marks the rebuilding of the city's free Pride event under a small group of volunteer directors with new community backing.
Pride on the Hoe traditionally combines the parade with a main festival across the day, with stages, community stalls, family activity and food and drink, and the Hoe's clifftop position giving the event a backdrop few other Prides can match. The 2026 line-up has not yet been confirmed. Past events have featured Pride in the Park as the main festival site, with Central Park as an alternative venue used in some years. Across the weekend, Plymouth's LGBTQ+ scene comes out in force, with venues across the city running their own Pride programming.
Plymouth Pride is free entry. The event runs on a tight budget (last full edition cost over £33,000 to deliver) and relies entirely on donations, sponsorship and volunteer effort. The organisers have publicly called for community support to make 2026 happen, with anyone able to volunteer, donate or sponsor encouraged to get involved via the official site. Check the Plymouth Pride website for the confirmed line-up, parade route and accessibility info.
