Sean Lìonadh
Talks to Harry Kingscote
19/03/2022
Young poet, musician and filmmaker (go on, Sean!) talks to our film buff on-the-ground at BFI Flare Festival about his new short film, Too Rough.
Ever bring a boyfriend home and feel all the pressure of your family life weighing down on your chest? Sean Lìonadh's tense and affecting new short explores those feelings with an impressive clarity. Themes of claustrophobia and the closet, as well as abuse and belonging, are investigated with subtlety, making for a haunting viewing experience. Sean opened up about the autobiographical qualities of the film in an honest and eye-opening interview with our film-buff Harry at this year's BFI Flare.
