Senior Account Manager (South)

📍 London/ South East -based (Hybrid) | Travel ~1x/month + up to 4 weekends/year
💰 OTE £34k–£40k | Salary negotiable based on experience

Gaydio is the UK’s biggest radio station for LGBTQ+ people, broadcasting in 13 cities to an weekly audience of over half a million. Our mission is to be the leading LGBTQ+ media, entertainment, and education platform — championing our culture, amplifying voices, and connecting our community.

With continued growth and exciting new partnerships ahead, we’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our commercial team in London. This is a key role for a confident, passionate seller who’s ready to lead others, win business, and build campaigns that make a difference. You'll work remotely for this role, with travel to Manchester around once a quarter. 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building and managing your own portfolio of commercial clients

  • Line managing 1–2 Account Managers — coaching, motivating and developing their success

  • Generating new business — primarily direct, with some agency crossover

  • Creating bespoke multi-platform campaigns that engage LGBTQ+ audiences

  • Selling on-air, digital and branded content opportunities

  • Leading campaigns end-to-end — from pitch and production to delivery and reporting

  • Contributing to a 12-month sales strategy with the leadership team

  • Representing Gaydio at events, networking opportunities and brand activity

  • Supporting recruitment and future commercial team growth

What We’re Looking For

  • A confident, friendly and persuasive communicator

  • Proven experience in media, sponsorship or campaign sales (radio experience = bonus)

  • Strategic mindset with strong commercial instincts and negotiation skills

  • Experience line managing or mentoring others

  • Organised and detail-driven, able to manage multiple priorities

  • Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines

  • A natural relationship builder, internally and externally

  • Strong digital skills and confidence with numbers (Salesforce experience = bonus)

  • A genuine passion for LGBTQ+ inclusion and understanding of queer audiences
