More Information (Gaydio — The UK's LGBTQ+ Radio Station is not responsible for external websites)
York Pride 2026 takes place on Saturday 30 May, with thousands gathering on the Knavesmire, the wide green space alongside York Racecourse just south of the city walls, for the main festival. The parade traditionally moves through the city centre before delivering crowds to the Knavesmire, with York's medieval streets making for a distinctive backdrop unlike most UK Pride events.
The Knavesmire setting gives the festival the room to host main stages, community zones, family activity and food and drink across the day. Local businesses across the city centre prepare for crowds along the parade route. The 2026 line-up has not yet been confirmed. Expect a programme that mixes main-stage live music, drag, cabaret, community stalls and family programming through the day, with venues across the city centre running their own Pride events through the weekend.
York Pride is free entry, with donations encouraged on the day to help keep the event running. The festival is supported by volunteers, sponsors and the local community. Check the York Pride website for the confirmed line-up, parade route, full programme and accessibility info.
