UK's first night rainbow lights up Trafalgar Square
Last night, London’s Trafalgar Square was bathed in colour as the UK’s first ever night rainbow lit up the evening sky. The enormous night rainbow was commissioned by Channel 4 to celebrate Russell T Davies’ new trio of shows Cucumber, Banana and Tofu which premiere on Channel 4, E4 and 4oD tomorrow night and explore the passions and pitfalls of 21st century LGBT life. The installation, created by greyworld, a renowned public arts group, measures 30 metres wide by 15 metres high and will be happening again tonight, 21st January 2015, between 5.30pm-8.30pm. To celebrate the launch of Cucumber, Banana & Tofu, Russell T Davies and the cast will be taking over Gaydio's Breakfast show tomorrow morning.
