Senior Account Manager (Media Sales and Partnerships)

OTE £40,000+ (Uncapped)
Base salary £29,000 – £33,000 plus uncapped commission. Most Senior Account Managers achieve at least £40k per year.

Gaydio is the UK’s biggest radio station for LGBTQ+ people, broadcasting across 13 cities and reaching more than half a million listeners every week across radio, streaming, social and events. We also run our flagship Gaydio Pride Awards, business networking events and the Gaydio Academy.

We work with brands and organisations to deliver creative campaigns that connect with LGBTQ+ audiences in authentic and meaningful ways.

As we continue to grow and develop new partnerships, we are looking for a Senior Account Manager with a focus on Financial Services & Travel Partnerships to join our commercial team in Manchester. Reporting to one of our Commercial Managers, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building senior relationships, developing strategic campaigns and helping brands connect with LGBTQ+ audiences.

From global travel brands and major retailers to cultural institutions and entertainment platforms, we help organisations build meaningful connections with LGBTQ+ audiences across the UK.

What the role involves

  • Owning and growing your own portfolio of high-value commercial clients
  • Developing long term partnerships with brands
  • Generating new business opportunities, particularly within financial services and travel
  • Creating bespoke multi-platform campaigns combining radio, digital and branded content
  • Helping brands connect authentically with LGBTQ+ audiences
  • Managing campaigns from pitch through delivery and reporting
  • Working closely with programming, marketing and production teams
  • Representing Gaydio at events, networking opportunities and industry activity

A typical week might include pitching a new campaign idea to a national brand, developing creative concepts with our programming and marketing teams, meeting clients or agencies, and seeing campaigns go live on air and across digital platforms.

You might also get involved in our events, helping set up for Gaydio Networking or being part of the team delivering the Gaydio Pride Awards.

What we’re looking for

  • A confident, friendly and persuasive communicator
  • Proven experience in media sales, sponsorship or campaign sales
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders
  • Confidence negotiating commercial proposals
  • Experience working with financial services and/or travel brands is desirable
  • Organised and detail focused
  • Comfortable working to targets and deadlines
  • CRM experience such as Salesforce is beneficial
  • An interest in LGBTQ+ culture and communities
