Welsh star Matthew Rhys has made Emmy history by winning two best lead actor awards at the same ceremony.
Widow's Bay, which stars the 51-year-old, also set a new record for the most wins of a comedy series in the history of the awards.
With a haul of 14 statuettes, the dark comedy's Welsh star took best actor, and then made history himself by bagging the best actor in a limited series for psychological thriller, The Beast In Me.

Taken together with his 2018 drama win for The Americans, he is the first male performer to win in all three lead acting categories.
Picking up his second prize of the night at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, Rhys paid tribute to "the great and good people of Wales", which he hailed as "a small but mighty nation".
Speaking backstage, holding both Emmys, Rhys said: "The celebrations will be long, varied, and I hope at times wild."
