Nigel's guest today is Charlie Martin. Charlie is a British professional racing driver and transgender rights activist. She is a trailblazer in the world of motorsport. She uses her platform to educate about inclusion in sport and raise awareness about trans issues. Her own personal journey has been a difficult one and even though she knew she was trans at an early age it wasn’t until she reached the age of thirty that she was finally able to follow her dreams and transition. Her dream now is to make LGBTQ+ history as the first transgender driver to compete in (and win) the iconic Le Mans race.This series is a celebration of a beautiful queer community; people of all ages, people who have had to tread their own path to live their real truth, who have fought with their emotions and emerged victorious, who inspire, who aspire and always entertain.
