Hosted by Nigel May, whose guest today is Peppermint, a true trailblazer in the worlds of drag and transgender rites. She is an actress, singer, songwriter, TV personality, and activist. When she was announced as a contestant on Season 9 of Rupaul’s Drag Race USA she became the first transgender woman to come out prior to the show airing. On stage she became the first trans woman to originate a principal role on Broadway and her music career has seen release many successful dance tracks that don’t just bring the bop, they also bring a message of what it’s like for a black transgender woman living in current times. She has starred on TV in pretty much everything from Pose, Saturday Night Live and The Traitors through to her own comedy special.
