It Gets Better
|
|
Growing up questioning your sexual orientation or gender can be hard. Most LGBT teenagers have suffered some sort of bullying while at school. A recent report by Stonewall found that nine in ten secondary school teachers and more than two in five primary school teachers (44 per cent) say children and young people, regardless of their sexual orientation, currently experience homophobic bullying, name calling or harassment in their schools. Figures like these don’t make pleasant reading, which is why Gaydio has teamed up with the It Gets Better campaign to produce a video message of support to victims of homophobic bullying. We want you to know that if you are being bullied because of who you are, you are not alone. There are people around you that can help. We will support you. It does get better. |
