We are Gaydio, the UK’s biggest radio station for LGBTQ+ people. We broadcast on DAB Digital Radio across 6 cities including London, Brighton, Birmingham and Portsmouth to over of half a million people. We have been broadcasting on FM in Brighton and Hove for 3 years and have been broadcasting on FM in Manchester since 2010.
We’re about to embark on a plan to accelerate our growth, making Gaydio bigger and better. Our programming ambition is simple. Make great radio and make sure we tell people about it. We also run an Academy programme, offering exciting and engaging opportunities to LGBTQ+ people across the UK as well as a well-established volunteering programme.
You’ll need to be brimming with ideas of how we can engage better with our audience. You will spend your day setting up traditional advertising relationships as well as engaging with a range of partners. You'll also help set up and run our events programme. This is a exciting an packed role and you'll need some tangible experience to show that you can excel from the start.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- To create exciting and engaging content on social media platforms
- To create and run well targeted social campaigns, with clear objectives
- To ensure that the SEO of our sites is optimised
- To set up mutually beneficial relationships with partner organisations
- To investigate and set up traditional (outdoor, print) advertising relationships
- To promote Gaydio as a leader in LGBTQ+ marketing for external clients
- To secure PR opportunities for a range of activities
- To help set up and manage events
Person Specification
- Has good knowledge in using Adobe Creative suit. Including Video, Photo, and Audio
- Has experience of creating and executing marketing campaigns including on social media, google and traditional marketing campaigns (print, outdoor )
- Has experience of working with digital campaigns including on social media, google ads
- Has experience of writing press releases and selling them into media providers
- Is technically minded and with good IT skills
- Has experience of setting up events of different scales
- Ideally has experience of working in a radio or media environment
- Has an excellent understanding of the needs and demographics of LGBT+ people
