A boat carrying 90 passengers and five crew members has capsized on a lake in Zimbabwe, with rescue efforts under way, police say.
In a statement posted on Zimbabwe's national police service's social media platforms, the ZRP said the boat had 90 people and five crew members on board when it capsized on Lake Kariba, which lies on the border with Zambia.
"The ZRP reports that a DDF boat with 90 people and five crew members has capsized in Lake Kariba. Rescue efforts are currently underway with more details on the situation to be released in due course," the police said.
The number of casualties has not yet been confirmed.
The police said further details were expected as the operation progressed.
