Often called the “first modern lesbian”, Anne was a fearless Yorkshire woman who lived, dressed and loved as she chose, defying society’s expectations. Her secret coded diaries, discovered after her death, revealed a life full of romance, ambition and rebellion.

Choreographed by acclaimed artist Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and performed to brand-new live music, Gentleman Jack is a modern and stylish portrait of Anne’s world. This brand-new production will have its world premiere in Leeds, meaning opening night audiences will be the very first to experience it.
