Four men taken to hospital and seven arrested after London stabbing

Four men have been injured, one critically, and police have arrested seven after a reported stabbing in a London high street.

Emergency services were called to Bromley High Street in southeast London, just after 2pm on Thursday to reports of an altercation.

One person is in a critical condition while three others are receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Metropolitan Police.

A Met spokesperson said: "At around 2.15pm on Thursday, 10 September, officers were called to reports of an altercation."

"Seven men were arrested and they all remain in custody. Police enquiries continue and there is not believed to be any wider threat to the public."

The London Ambulance Service confirmed that four patients were treated at the scene and then taken to hospital.

A LAS spokesperson said: "We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and an advanced paramedic. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance."

Peter Fortune, the MP for Bromley and Biggin Hill, said: "I am aware of the incident on Bromley High Street this afternoon and I know that residents will have safety concerns."

He added that he would remain in close contact with the police as they continue to investigate the incident.
