A 31-year-old woman has become the third person to be charged after a police officer was shot in the foot at a bus stop in Nottingham city centre.
PC Lee Lane was injured when he approached two people in Angel Row at 4.50am on 18 October. He remains in hospital.
Nottinghamshire Police said Lea Anderson has been charged with possession of a firearm to endanger life, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Anderson, of Commercial Road, Nottingham, has been remanded in custody and will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
On Wednesday, police said they arrested a 31-year-old man in the Scunthorpe area of Lincolnshire, while five other suspects were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, including two men aged 31 and 24, and three women - two aged 38 and one aged 21.
Aisha Zaman, 27, of Collison Street, Hyson Green, was previously charged with possession of a prohibited firearm and possession of that firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.
Nottingham Magistrates' Court heard last month that Zaman is alleged to have taken the weapon from a man before putting it inside her jacket.
Prosecutors said the gun fell to the floor and discharged after the officer arrived in Angel Row.
