The only thing hotter than the weather this weekend is Jessie Ware's "Sauna" Music Video!

The Gay Times cover star transforms a lift into a sweaty queer fantasy in the "Sauna" video, complete with Munroe Bergdorf, kisses, and a nod to London's bathhouse history.

Jessie Ware has just delivered the steamy queer party the summer needed. The pop star's new video for "Sauna", released yesterday, transforms a corporate elevator into a sweaty celebration of desire, movement and connection — and she made sure her queer friends approved first.

The video opens with Ware stepping into a lift in full office mode: trench coat, reading glasses, all business. But as the doors close, things take a decidedly more hedonistic turn. Directed by Jordan Rossi — who also shot her recent Gay Times cover — the clip quickly becomes an all-out queer fantasia.

Munroe Bergdorf, Babydaddy, and actor Kadiff Kirwan are among the LGBTQ+ icons piling in for the ride. Ware serves fierce choreography alongside dancers Jonathan Baker and Theo Maddix, and even shares a kiss with one of her dancers. The lift gets more packed, more chaotic and a whole lot sweatier as the song builds.

Speaking about "Sauna",  the latest single from her sixth album Superbloom, Jessie told fans: "I have decided to make this summer a red hot Sauna summer! I love how this song makes people feel. It was made for dancing."

The song itself is a slow-burning celebration of intimacy, with Ware at her most confident. And she didn't release it without running it past the community first. As the current Gay Times cover star, she told the magazine she "checked in with some of my queer friends" to get their seal of approval on the track, which playfully nods to Chariots, the former London gay bathhouse.

Their verdict? "Abso-fucking-lutely." Ware also stressed her awareness of her role as an ally in the interview, saying she doesn't want her support to "feel performative" and that she respects there are "other people who may have a more valid and important role and voice".

Superbloom dropped in April via EMI Records and hit number two on the Official UK Albums Chart. Critics have praised it as Ware's most expansive work yet, exploring themes of pleasure, intimacy and connection through lush disco-inflected production. The album follows her widely acclaimed 2023 release That! Feels Good!

Later this year, Ware will embark on The Superbloom Tour — her biggest ever and her first UK arena run. The trek kicks off on 6 October in Toronto and includes a stop at New York's Radio City Music Hall before wrapping with a hometown show at London's O2 Arena on 28 November. She'll then head to Glasgow and Manchester, closing the tour at Co-op Live on 5 December.
