Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm has married Australian model Chris Dingwall in Cumbria, with three of her Spice Girls bandmates there to celebrate.
Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner attended the lakeside wedding at The Country House, making it an almost-full Spice Girls reunion for the special day. Victoria Beckham was not at the ceremony, but still played a meaningful role in the wedding. The fashion designer lent Mel C the dress she wore after the singer found herself short on time before travelling. Speaking to British Vogue, Victoria said she had been having dinner with Melanie when the singer “very casually” told her she was leaving for Australia in two days and getting married. Victoria said Mel C had ordered one of her dresses, but it did not quite fit and there was not enough time to alter it. “I happened to have that exact dress in my own wardrobe and offered to lend it to her,” Victoria said. Mel C married Dingwall, who is also a producer, after the pair met on dating app Raya in 2023. Speaking about their relationship, Mel C told British Vogue that she was “in a really good place” when they met, adding that he had been “such a beautiful addition” to her and her daughter’s life. The wedding brought together four of the five Spice Girls in some form, with Mel B, Emma and Geri attending in person and Victoria’s design playing a key part in the day.
