Andrew Edwards

Andrew is originally from Scotland but expects to get his honorary Mancunian citizenship conferred upon him any day now. Probably underneath an umbrella in Albert Square but then being born and bred in Glasgow of course he knows all about rain. He was in the Scottish Youth Theatre let’s just say a few years ago. Andrew started on hospital radio and then moved into community radio. He has produced programmes for a range of stations specialising in news and the arts in particular. This has included working for the BBC.

The first hour of the Saturday Forum is a mix of news, current affairs and the arts about all of which Andrew is passionate. The second hour has more lifestyle features such as the Gaydio Book Club. Andrew enjoys the diversity of the LGBT community across Greater Manchester and beyond. Andrew also enjoys the challenge of being a hearing impaired man who works in radio.

He tried abseiling some years ago but never fancied bungee jumping and especially not whilst holding a cup of Gaydio Tea. Very health and safety conscious is Andrew. Especially fond of Tiramisu. His own or shop bought is fine with him!

If you are involved in any aspect of the LGBT community then please feel free to get in touch via this website.
